When did you start drawing?
I had fun with arts and crafts as a child, but in my later highschool years, I was introduced to anime and that's when I began to draw a lot. In University, I started taking it a bit more seriously and that's when I really began to improve and grow XD


Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right, but I do a lot of things with my left (I use my mouse with the left hand and such).


Which is easier to draw - male or female?
hmm...I dunno...probably female, but not by much.


Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
probably short hair, but long hair can be a lot of fun.

Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Either way.

Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
hmm...about the same.

What do you have problems in drawing?
I have constant anatomy and proportion issues. Aside from that, perspective and dynamism escape me T_T

What do you like to draw?
Boy-love stories and comics/manga in general, and funky ears and outfits.

Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
More digital, but I like both and I use both for my webcomics.

Where do you start drawing from?
I draw a lumpy outline of the pose and then refine it, usually starting with the head.

What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I have bad habits with proportion...hmm as far as just habits go, I tend to draw mostly when I'm on the DAmn chats and or when I'm watching crime documentaries.


Any tips for coloring/shading?
Try A LOT of different styles and methods and always practice different angles and sources and colours of light, eventually you'll find one that suits you :3 Also, when unsure whether to leave shading lighter or go on and make it darker, usually making it darker is more effective.


How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Depends...I'm pretty efficient and I'm constantly juggling 50 different pieces and projects (I like to be kept busy and when I get bored or stuck on one thing, I move on to another). For a comic page or sketch to inks or lineart, a few hours usually. For tone and fixing up, an hour or two, and for my most difficult shading, sometimes 20+ hours @_@



What music do you listen to while you draw?
itunes. Whatever comes up on the list randomly, whether it's anime music, or stuff from my parents era.

How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Sometimes I set about trying to develop things, and then not long, but mostly they just come out of nowhere, or from thinking of other concepts and developing my own. Honestly, ideas for a single picture usually take me more brain power and effort to come up with than long, thought out comic concepts @_@


Your favorite drawing utensils?
mechanical pencil, .5 lead, squishy eraser, non-photo blue pencil, tablet, Open Canvas and Deleter Comicworks.

Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I tend to go with a lot of red hues and warm colours, but I actually prefer blues. Maybe I'm overcompensating? XD


Your favorite style(s)?
I really enjoy styles like Yuzu Mizutani and Matsuri Hino, as well as Arina Tanemura, but there are so many that it's hard to name just a few *looked over to her bookshelf*


What kind of artist are you aiming for?

I dunno. One that can accurately portray something happening...I'm just shooting for good enough to make sense XD
